Drag back from the cue ball — the longer the pull, the harder the shot — and release. Moving the mouse or your finger fine-aims; the slider is the power meter for tap-to-shoot.
House rules (simplified 8-ball)
- Break: Player 1 breaks from the head spot. An 8-ball potted on the break is simply re-spotted — never a win or a loss.
- Open table: solids and stripes are unassigned until someone pots a ball without scratching — that ball's group becomes theirs.
- Keep shooting: pot one of your group and you shoot again. Pot nothing, or only your opponent's balls, and the turn passes. Potted balls always stay down.
- The 8-ball: once your group is cleared, pot the 8 to win. Pot it early — or pot it on a scratch — and you lose on the spot.
- Scratch: pot the cue ball and your opponent gets ball in hand, placed anywhere on the table.
- That's all the fouls: no rail-after-contact rule, no wrong-ball-first rule, no called pockets. Friendly house rules, kept simple.
